Show sessions focus primarily on pre-event preparation, with post-event recovery work available upon request when scheduling allows.
Pre-Event Bodywork
Pre-event sessions typically last 15–20 minutes and are performed prior to the horse entering the ring. These sessions help prepare muscles for work by encouraging relaxation, improving circulation, and supporting mobility.
Owners or riders are asked to text when their horse is approximately 60–90 minutes from showing so the session can be scheduled appropriately.
Post-Event Recovery - Please Read Carefully
Post-event bodywork is optional and available upon request not Guaranteed.
If requested, recovery work can be performed after the horse has cooled down and is fully dry. Post-event sessions may include light massage and stretching techniques to help support recovery and reduce muscle tension following performance.
Due to the changing nature of show schedules, post-event sessions cannot always be guaranteed, but I will do my best to accommodate them when time allows.
Show Day Preparation - Please remember, I want you to win as much as you do
For best results, please ensure:
• Horse is untacked before the session.
• Horse has been lightly hand-walked or warmed up prior to pre-event work (5-10 minutes)
• Horse is cooled down and dry for post-event sessions

What to Expect
Each horse responds to massage in their own way, and the response from one session to the next can vary greatly. Our number one priority is safety, so time will be taken to ensure that everyone involved is comfortable. Typical massages will be between 60 and 90 minutes.
Every session is unique. My equine massages are influenced by many techniques including Swedish strokes, sports massage, myofascial release, and acupressure techniques. About an hour-long massage covers the whole body while working through issues and problem spots as they appear. Sessions focus on releasing tension and trigger points to support relaxation, mobility, and preventative care. I am continuously researching and learning more techniques to better serve your horse.
Cancellation, Rescheduling & Weather Policy
Appointments require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for cancellation or rescheduling.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment will be subject to a late cancellation fee of 50% of the scheduled service.
No-shows or same-day cancellations may be charged the full session fee.
To ensure fairness and availability for all clients, repeated late cancellations will result in stricter booking requirements. After five (5) cancellations within the 24-hour notice period, future appointments will require full payment at the time of booking and will not be rescheduled without payment.
For the safety and comfort of both horse and practitioner, appointments may be rescheduled due to unsafe weather or environmental conditions, including but not limited to heavy rain, thunderstorms, lightning, snow, ice, extreme heat, extreme cold, or hazardous travel conditions.
As general guidelines:
-
Appointments may be rescheduled if temperatures are below 20°F or exceed 95°F, particularly when appropriate shelter, footing, or ventilation is unavailable.
-
In cold weather below 20°F, horses are expected to wear appropriate blankets during sessions to help maintain muscle warmth and support effective bodywork.
Weather-related rescheduling does not count as a late cancellation and will not incur a cancellation fee when deemed unsafe by the practitioner. The final decision to proceed or reschedule due to weather or temperature conditions will be made by the practitioner in the interest of safety and horse welfare.
Every effort will be made to reschedule weather-affected appointments at the next available opening.
